How to Make a Detox Salad (and Why I Eat Them Now)
I never used to eat salads. I really never thought I liked raw vegetables (or fruits). But then chronic health problems made me rethink my eating habits. I was ready to try just about anything if it would help me to feel better. I was feeling really poorly:
- I felt tired all the time, and I ran out of energy often.
- I had insomnia
- I had headaches
- I experienced episodes of feeling breathless
- I had some severe stomach bloating
- I had some pretty rough pms symptoms
- I kept gaining weight.
I realized after seeing some doctors and doing some serious research that I was going to need to detox. (I needed to help my body rid itself of toxins and poisons.)
To make a very long story short, I began to work seriously on detoxing. I did many things to detox, including eating a lot more raw vegetables than I had before! The results have been wonderful. I no longer struggle with the debilitating fatigue that I used to. I sleep much better. I lost the weight that I needed to.
Others have had even more impressive results from detoxing. Check out this list of 100+ people who found that detox promoted health when they were fighting cancer . Many of them used raw vegetables to fight cancer.
