The liquid measurements chart has conversions for gallons, quarts, pints, ounces, and liters. This would be handy taped to the inside of a cabinet door or added to a recipe binder. The chart can be downloaded and printed (see link farther down the page). But first, I wanted to share a tip and a warning about liquid measuring cups-
A Tip for Measuring Liquids and a Warning about Lead in your Measuring Cup!
Remember, when you are measuring liquids to always use a liquid measuring cup. Dry measuring cups are not as accurate, and could affect the recipe you are making. Speaking of liquid measuring cups, I was doing some research on measuring cups so that I could recommend the best one. I always want to recommend something that is user friendly and of course non toxic.
When I was reading up on measuring cups, I found this article that talks about lead being in the red paint on the outside of the glass pyrex measuring cups! The paint tested at 6,253 ppm lead. Anything above anything 90 ppm is considered toxic if it is going to be used by children!
The good news is that there are some really safe measuring cups that do not have paint on them like this one:
