Coconut oil is one of my go to healthy living purchases. It helps me to balance my hormones, maintain a healthy weight, and improves my digestion. Since I use it all the time, I want to get it for the very cheapest price.
I have bought coconut oil in many different places, but I can get the very best price if I use the method I show below. Getting the lowest price on everything I buy is one way I keep my grocery budget very low.

Two Types of High Quality Coconut Oil
There are two different oils that I choose from when I am shopping for coconut oil. One is the Extra Virgin Certified Organic coconut oil and the other is Cold Pressed Extra Virgin coconut oil.
The only difference between the two coconut oils is that one is certified organic. Since both of the coconut oils are sourced from the Philippines, I don’t worry too much about the organic certification. Usually coconuts from the Philippines are free of pesticide residues anyway.
Both oils are cold pressed meaning the oil is extracted in a natural way without chemicals. And since it is “cold pressed” that means the oils are carefully handled so that they are not heated (heat can cause some quality issues with coconut oil and destroys some of the valuable nutrients.)
The bottom line is I buy whichever is on sale. 🙂
How to get the Best Coconut Oil Price Online
Use Ebates
I always go to the Ebates website first. Doing this allows me to get 3-4% cashback when I shop at Vitacost.
Ebates sends me a check when I get to a certain threshold. I have been paid $226.57 from Ebates by simply going to ebates and clicking a button before I shop!
You can sign up for Ebates clicking through this link. By clicking through my link and signing up, you will get an extra $10 as soon as you spend $25 online! (This will really help you to get a really killer deal on coconut oil.)
When you click my link you will get this screen:
Type in your email address and press next. A box will appear under your email address for your password. Choose a password and press the green “Join Now” button.
Now on your screen you will see the home page. It may have a box explaining how to activate the Ebates extension directly at store sites. If you want to skip this part for now, simply click on the x to get rid of the box. (I don’t use the extension, because I find the best coupons are sent to my email directly from Vitacost.) You will be left with the Ebates home page. Type Vitacost in the search bar and press enter.

This will take you to the screen with the “Shop Now” button for Vitacost. Simply press this button and you will go automatically to Vitacost.
This will bring you to the Vitacost homepage. Type “Vitacost coconut oil” in the search bar and press enter (or click the magnifying glass).

All of the different Vitacost coconut oils will now displayed on the product page. I buy the 54 oz size because it is always the best deal.
I buy either the Vitacost brand Extra Virgin Certified Organic coconut oil or the Vitacost brand Cold Pressed Extra Virgin coconut oil. I usually wait to buy these when they are BOGO 50%. This happens fairly often at Vitacost. Make sure that you sign up for their emails if you want to be notified of sales.
Add the Coconut oils to your cart(and some other non toxic items that are an awesome price at Vitacost)
You can either add 2 coconut oils to your cart (which will make 4 total if you are getting them during the BOGO sale), or you can just buy 2 coconut oils and add some other things to get your order up to $49. (Shipping is free when your order is $49 or more.)
If you want to order some other things at Vitacost, here is a list of non toxic and healthy items that I find to be a great deal at Vitacost-You can copy and paste these into the search bar on the Vitacost website.
These items are often the cheapest at Vitacost and I almost always check other places and sales before I buy.
- Beauty Without Cruelty Shampoo Rosemary Mint and Tea Tree — 16 fl oz (really good shampoo with good ingredients).
- Ecco Bella FlowerColor Cover Up Beige-I really like this concealer and it has good non toxic ingredients. It also lasts me a long time.
- Vitacost Stevia Extract — 4 fl oz-This stevia is a really good price and sometimes it is BOGO 50% off too!
- Simple Truth® Organic Maple Syrup — 8 fl oz
- Bob’s Red Mill White Rice Flour — 24 oz
- Bob’s Red Mill Shredded Coconut Unsweetened — 24 oz
- NOW Foods Echinacea & Goldenseal Plus — 2 fl oz-This is great to keep on hand to fight colds and viruses.
- Vitacost – The Clean Collection Toilet Bowl Cleaner – Peppermint Scent — 24 fl oz
- Dr. Woods Naturally Castile Soap Peppermint — 32 fl oz
Here is what my cart looks like with 4 coconut oils total. I added a promo code. You can often see promo codes on the left side of the very top of the Vitacost site (on the green stripe). Sometimes there will also be a big banner on the homepage with a coupon code for a current sale. (I get promo codes in my email because I am signed up for Vitacost emails.)
Look at my total-$52.41! That comes out to 24 cent an ounce, plus I will get back a $1.50 or more from Ebates. You could get up to $11 or $12 back if you signed up under my Ebates link! This is cheaper than Walmart, Amazon, or basically anywhere!

After you have filled your cart, simply proceed to checkout. You can view your cart anytime by clicking the cart icon at the upper right corner of the screen.
Once you have checked out and payed for your order, you will automatically get money added to your Ebates account. (And if you signed up through my link, you will receive an extra $10 as well.)
Because I use this method, I am able to get the best price on coconut oil that I have seen anywhere! And it is a good thing too because we use coconut oil constantly.

This is a great deal! I was on low carb, slipped up and got back on again, recently. I have bought coconut oil online and off. I wish I could benefit from your Ebates link, but I’m already a member.
I wish you could benefit too Cynthia! I have never been low carb, but my sister and brother in law have tried it. I would love to hear of any benefits you have seen on the low carb diet.
