How to Use the Worksheets
Here are the directions for how to use the worksheets:
- Read the sentence first, and then choose the animal that best fits the sentence.
- Put a checkmark in the box beside the correct word.
- Write the correct word in each sentence.
There is also a picture clue to help identify the right animal. If your child is having a hard time reading a word, you can help them sound it out. (If you feel your child might need some practice sounding out words, check out these letter cards for practice blending.)
If you know that your child simply gets tired of reading so many words, read the sentences for them while you underline each word with your finger. Then let the child sound out the words that could go in the sentences. Then have them write the correct word.
If your child wants, let them color the pictures. A lot of kids love to decorate their worksheets!
