What is Clean Eating?
If you are a clean eating beginner, you might be wondering what clean eating really is. Clean eating is eating foods in their unprocessed form. It is food that doesn’t have chemical additives and isn’t genetically modified-foods like fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, and healthy bread.
Clean foods are quality foods that help you to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight. These foods nourish your body and help you to detox properly.

What Foods are Clean Eating?
There are many foods in the grocery store that are clean-but you have to know what you are looking for. If you shop the perimeter of the store, you will find lots of healthy foods in the produce section, the dairy section, and the meat section.
Most of the produce section is healthy since there are mostly plain fruits and veggies there. This is the place to stock up if you are wanting to be healthy and fit. If you are like me though, you also buy a lot of frozen vegetables because they are so easy to prepare!
The dairy section has healthy choices like plain yogurt, eggs, cheese, and grassfed butter.
The meat section is a little more complicated. There are some really unhealthy choices there. I tend to stick to healthy chicken, healthy turkey, and grass fed beef. Fish can be a healthy choice-especially if you can find wild caught alaskan fish.
There are also lots of healthy choices on the inner aisles of the store, but you have to check the ingredients carefully. There are some pretty terrible foods in the interior aisles. But, the good news is that I keep finding more and more healthy choices all the time.
